In 2021, adidas and LEGO continued their collaborative efforts with the Ultra Boost DNA. This sneaker transforms the popular running shoe into a playful companion to the famous LEGO brick. It features a majority white upper with raised details on the toe box resembling LEGO blocks. The classic cage encases the upper’s sides, while the Three Stripes allow wearers to customize their sneakers using one of the 144 colorful LEGO pieces included with every pair. A metallic silver toe wrap and heel cap add flair to this playful design. The Ultra Boost DNA LEGO released in April 2021 for $160. The LEGO x adidas UltraBoost DNA also features transparent three-stripes that hold multicolored LEGO plates for a custom mix-and-match aesthetic. The upper is constructed from white Primeknit, incorporating recycled Parley Ocean Plastic and zero virgin polyester. A metallic silver finish shines on the heel counter and forefoot overlay, while the toe box has a distinctive texture replicating LEGO bricks. Dual adidas and LEGO branding adorns the tongue and custom sockliner.
