The Under Armour Curry 5 Pi Day is a performance shoe designed in collaboration with American basketball player Stephen Curry to celebrate his birthday, which also happens to be Pi Day. This iteration of the Under Armour Curry 5 is made with a black textile upper. A black textile overlay with a slight shine goes from the inner toe around to the lateral side to wrap around the heel. Shiny black supports appear on each side of the heel, with one bearing the Under Armour logo and the other bearing Stephen Curry's signature. Another SC logo is seen on the lateral side of the tongue. The shoe bears a Metallic Iron midsole and silver outsole, featuring the pi symbol and number throughout. Inspired by the famous mathematical constant, Under Armour celebrated Pi Day and Steph Curry’s birthday (3/14) with an exclusive offering of Curry 5s, limited to 314 pairs. The lace aglets sport the number 3.14, while the symbol for pi is worked into the upper’s knit application and underneath the translucent outsole. Equipped with a sock-like construction, the shoe is designed to enhance forefoot support.
