JJJJound joined forces with New Balance in the release of the New Balance 991 MiUK JJJJound Grey Olive, marking their first time designing a collaborative sneaker. The sneaker is constructed of a grey and brown premium mesh and suede upper. Sitting on the heel of the shoe and insole is the JJJJound branding in a neutral tone, whilst its tongue and quarter are the New Balance and N logos respectively. The sneakers also feature an air-cushioned midsole dressed in a cream hue. Released on February 17th, 2023, the retail price was $250. The JJJJound x New Balance Women’s 991 Made in England ‘Grey’ delivers Justin Saunders’ take on a classic iteration of the vaunted 99X series, originally released in 2001 and featuring a streamlined toe box. Manufactured in New Balance’s renowned Flimby factory, the retro runner carries a breathable grey mesh upper with tonal pigskin suede overlays and a black signature ‘N’ logo. Reflective matte silver detailing lands on the tongue and back tab, positioned above a heel insert marked with embroidered JJJJound branding. Lightweight cushioning arrives via New Balance’s two-tone ABZORB midsole.
