Nike LD-1000 Malachite Arctic Orange

Originally released in 1977, the LD-1000's dramatically flared heel was created to support long-distance runners. However, it was recalled shortly after due to safety concerns. Phil Knight expected backlash for the recall, but instead, he received gratitude from devout runners and loyal customers. This Malachite and Arctic Orange edition combines shaggy suede and airy textiles with Nike's iconic Waffle sole. Featuring a mesh upper, suede overlays, embossed branding, a woven tongue label, and a rubber outsole.
