In 2015, the Nike Air Max was the most celebrated shoe of the year, leading to the release of the women's Nike Air Max City Collection featuring city-inspired Air Max 1 Ultras shrouded in floral prints. The Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Tokyo showcases a theme of red roses expressed in a mixed palette of blues, white, and black. The black sockliner and tongue contrast beautifully with the brighter upper, adorned with dynamic blue roses and white cherry blossoms, creating a unique style for the Tokyo AM1. Each shoe in the City Pack highlights different flowers and colors representing the history and style of their respective cities. Released in March 2015 for $180, the AM1 Tokyo were available at Nike Sportswear locations in honor of International Women's Day, later expanding to NSW accounts worldwide.
