The ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 Monaco Blue is an updated version of the Gel-Kayano 14 featuring a late 2000s aesthetic with newer technology. This iteration was the first shoe in the line to be designed by someone other than Toshikazu Kayano. This version is made of a Monaco Blue mesh upper with synthetic leather overlays in silver and Slack across the midsole. The toe is also rounded out by a silver overlay. The shoe features original GEL technology for shock absorption and cushioning. The sock liner is produced in a way that reduces carbon emissions by 45%, making this shoe more sustainable. What we like most is the Monaco Blue base with pops of the same shade on the rubber outsole, making the otherwise basic shoe stand out.
