The Air Jordan 16 Retro SoleFly Art Basel was released during Art Basel in 2016. Jordan Brand teamed up with SoleFly, a sneaker shop located in Miami, to finalize the design of this sneaker. Nike has employed a "South Beach" theme for several colorful sneakers over the years, so it was no surprise to see SoleFly's unique interpretation of this theme in the design. The sneaker features a bright white leather upper and a white shroud, giving it the appearance of an all-white sneaker initially. However, when the shroud is unbuttoned, it reveals vibrant neon pink accents with touches of turquoise. What makes this sneaker particularly special is its reversible shroud, allowing the wearer to transform the white shoe into a bold hot pink version. The Jordan 16 Retro SoleFly Art Basel was released on December 3rd, 2016, and initially retailed for $275.
