For the first time, Concepts joined forces with Italian-based Diadora on the Concepts x Diadora N9000 "Lira" in October 2015. Named after the Italian currency, the Lira, the Diadora N9000 was specifically inspired by the colors of the most valuable Italian currency, the 500,000 Lira. The bill itself served as inspiration and is printed on the custom insoles of the Lira N.9000. Crafted from incredibly high-quality suede, the upper features a mix of pastels and tonal beige, emulating the effect of the 500,000 Italian bill. Uniquely, the Lira model replaces the traditional N.9000 on the lateral side of the rear panel with '500000'. The Diadora branding is relocated to the back heel, stitched in green reflective 3M against the green suede heel panel and light blue heel tab. Completed with rope laces and a mixed grey and salmon outsole, the shoe is set against a white, pale yellow, and salmon-hit midsole. Released only via Concepts online and in-store at their Cambridge, Massachusetts location, the Lira Diadora retailed for $200. Ideal for the Spring months, the Concepts x Diadora N9000 "Lira" showcases luxurious pastel colors soaked into high-quality suede.
