The Nike Air Max 98 Oil Grey is a part of Nike's retro line, inspired by the original Air Max sneaker. The upper is crafted from a combination of leather, mesh, and synthetic materials, featuring an Oil Grey colorway accented with Black and Summit White. It showcases the iconic Nike Swoosh on both sides and on the forefoot, while the Air Max branding appears on the heel and tongue. The sneaker is equipped with a rubber outsole that includes a lug pattern, padded tongue and collar, and a pull tag on the heel. The removable foam insole also features additional Nike branding. One of the standout features of the Nike Air Max 98 Oil Grey is the visible full-length air unit in the sole. Released on February 22, 2019, it had a retail price of $160. Designed by Nike’s Sergio Lozano, this sneaker incorporates the full-length air unit from the Air Max 97 and presents a reflective strip along a sleek black upper with a contemporary white midsole.
