Unveiled in 1990 as a successor to the revolutionary Air Max 1, the Nike Air Max 90 was designed by Tinker Hatfield with updated paneling and a larger Max Air unit. This Essential model from 2014 closely, but not exactly, follows the AM90's OG Infrared colorway; black, white, grey and Infrared hues take new positions throughout the design. Max Air cushioning is reprised at the heel, underpinned by Waffle-inspired tread.
