Nike Air Max 98 Chinese New Year

The Nike Air Max 98 Chinese New Year features a mix of homage-filled hues, textures, and patterns. The shoe combines the traditional Bai Jia Yi quilted pattern from the 'Year Of The Pig' pack with finishing touches in the 'What The' style to great effect. It features gold, teal, and red color schemes on its base. It is also adorned with a combination of six different materials, varying from patent leather to snakeskin, all of which are inspired by previous CNY collections. Keeping with the theme of prints and patterns, the shoe's upper is made up of panels made of pony hair and snakeskin and a distinctive Tianjin-style design. A complimentary combination of gold and patent leather hits is used along the shoe's vamp to highlight the color schemes. A gold swoosh is found on the red shade on the vamp, while on the medial side, the swoosh appears as an outline with black stitches. Black rubber outsole, white midsole, and gold Air Max unit complete its appearance. The Nike Air Max 98 Chinese New Year was released on 28th February 2019 and retailed at $200.
