The Jordan Series .01 Anthracite was designed as an ode to Michael Jordan's competitive drive by his brother, Larry. The sneaker features leather along the toe area and black suedes towards the heel, while hits of white on the midsole and tongue tag provide contrast to the dark upper. Lastly, 'Dear Mike' is embroidered in black thread as a message to his brother. The Jordan Series .01 Anthracite and Game Royal release on Monday, June 14th for $80 on the SNKRS app and other Jordan Brand retailers. This pair, dubbed 'Dear Mike,' pays tribute to the young MJ, whose competitive edge was forged at an early age with an assist from his older brother Larry. The monochromatic leather and suede upper draws inspiration from Michael’s ‘Black Cat’ persona. Atop the tongue, ‘Dear Mike’ is inscribed on the Jumpman-branded tag, while the left insole features a graphic that reads ‘Swing for the Fences.’ Underfoot, the white rubber outsole is marked with ‘45/2’ as a nod to Jordan’s jersey number.
