The Air Jordan 39 'Sol' presents the debut colorway of the performance basketball shoe. The design of the upper was developed through a unique process: athletes executed countless cross-steps while wearing a painted Air Jordan 29. The dried paint would chip away with each step, resulting in a camo-like pattern that was recreated through engineered embroidery over white ballistic mesh. A crimson Jumpman logo atop the tongue delivers a contrasting pop of color. In terms of performance, the midsole combines ZoomX foam cushioning with a full-length Zoom Air unit. Underfoot, the rubber outsole utilizes a modified herringbone traction pattern.
