The Air Jordan Legacy 312 Black White combines key elements of the silhouette of the Air Jordan Alpha Force, the Air Jordan 3, and the Air Jordan 1. The sneaker pays homage to Michael Jordan’s hometown area code and appears in a black/white colorway. In addition to featuring the classic Air Jordan wings logo on the collar, the sneaker's upper showcases a Velcro strap across the top and a perforated toe box crafted from black leather. Additionally, a white Nike Swoosh is placed on the side with the bottom-center of the upper featuring an elephant print section. The Air Jordan Legacy 312 Black White has an AirSole unit for comfort, with a white rubber sole completing the design and delivering traction. The Air Jordan Legacy 312 Black White was released on September 10, 2018, at a retail price of $150. To create the Legacy 312 ‘Black Cement,’ designer and longtime Jordan Brand collaborator Don C combined elements of the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 3 and Nike Alpha Force Low. The result is a familiar high-top with unexpected touches, including a bold midfoot strap with embossed ‘NIKE’ lettering. The upper alludes to retro Jordans with a tumbled leather construction, while elephant print panels and an Air Jordan 3 outsole serve as direct nods to the classic silhouettes.
