The Nike Air Huarache Run Ultra Doernbecher features the original designs of cancer survivor Brayden Sparkman and was released to raise funds for the OHSU Doernbecher Foundation. A deep royal blue strap closure dominates the heel, with the names 'Brayden' and 'Strong' in vibrant orange, encouraging the designer in his journey to conquer leukemia. The quarter panels have a textile mesh underlay, white leather embossed with 'BS' on the lateral side, and a blue TPU overlay. The unique mesh pattern and reinforced mudguard enhance its appeal. The orange and blue color scheme creatively contrasts with the pull tabs on the tongue and heel. Released on November 18th, 2017, for $120. Every year, Nike collaborates with patients from the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital to create custom-designed shoes. The Nike Air Huarache Run Ultra ‘Doernbecher’ was designed by Brayden Sparkman, reflecting his love of baseball with red stitching, his logo, nickname, and the colors of his favorite teams.
