The Nike Air More Uptempo Doernbecher features a striking design in Blue Jay, Gym Red, and Team Orange. This limited-edition sneaker was created in collaboration with the Doernbecher Freestyle Program. Its multi-colored lacing system provides a stylish, adjustable, secure fit with dual pull tabs on the tongue and heel for easy wear. The midsole is equipped with Nike's renowned Air cushioning technology for enhanced support and impact absorption. The iconic GYM Red Nike Swoosh adorns the heel and side, while the patterned outsole ensures optimal friction on various surfaces. A distinctive 'BPM' wordmark in oversized letters adds to its unique appearance, and it was launched on November 18, 2017, retailing at $160. Designed by Brody Miller, an 11-year-old with a rare brain condition, the Nike Air More Uptempo 'Doernbecher' reflects his aspirations of becoming a comic book artist. The Blue Jay nubuck upper is inspired by Brody’s character 'Generator Man,' featuring mind control and healing powers. The traditional 'AIR' branding is replaced with 'BPM,' representing Brody Preston Miller and Beats Per Minute. The sneaker includes Team Orange and Blue Jay accents and a glow-in-the-dark outsole inscribed with 'BE STRONG.' The 2017 Doernbecher Collection also showcased vibrant colorways for other Nike models.
