Nike Air Trainer SC High Auburn

Bo Jackson played a big part in helping popularize the original Nike Air Trainer SC High back in the 1990s. Nike brought it back in the form of the Nike Air Trainer SC High Auburn in grade school sizes. Unlike the Nike Air Trainer SC High that Jackson wore back in his heyday, these sneakers featured the colors of his alma mater Auburn University. They had a white leather base on the upper with royal blue overlays along with orange lockdown straps. They also had a grey nubuck heel overlay with "NIKE" embossed on it and light grey Swooshes as well as visible Air-sole units in the midsoles. Our favorite part about these sneakers is simply that they exist, showcasing the monumental impact Jackson had on the sneaker world. It has been almost four decades since he left Auburn, but he continues to be tied to both his school and these trainers. The Nike Air Trainer SC High Auburn was released on September 3, 2022, for a retail price of $95. Made for big kids, the 2022 reissue brings back the ‘90s cross training shoe worn by two-sport phenom Bo Jackson. The retro silhouette is dressed in the colors of the athlete’s alma mater, highlighted by a white leather upper with orange lockdown straps and a royal blue overlay along the lateral forefoot. Nike branding is embossed on a plush orange tongue and a wraparound nubuck overlay in Light Zen Grey. Reflecting the shoe’s original performance roots, the foam midsole packs a visible Air-sole unit in the heel for soft landings and a cushioned ride.
