New York fashion label Public School teamed up with the Jordan brand for the Air Jordan 12 Retro PSNY, a retro-inspired collaborative sneaker from the PSNY x Air Jordan 12 lineup. Available in a dark grey/black colorway, this sneaker features an upper made of premium suede. Collaborative details appear throughout, with the Jumpman and PSNY logo on the tongue, Jordan branding on the heel, and ‘PUBLIC SCHOOL’ wording on the insole. Other details include a leather-aligned sockliner and a black/grey sole unit with a herringbone pattern on the outsole for traction. Each pair comes with Jumpman x PUBLIC SCHOOL-branded suede hangtags. What our experts love about this sneaker is its simple design, colorway, and minimal branding details. The simple and unique color scheme of this Air Jordan 12, combined with the premium suede build, makes this sneaker stand out. The Air Jordan 12 Retro PSNY was made available on December 17th, 2015. Initially, it retailed at $300. As their first Air Jordan collaboration made available to the public, New York fashion label Public School (PSNY) released the PSNY x Air Jordan 12 Retro sneakers in December 2015. Released alongside the sneakers was a 7-piece apparel collection by PSNY designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborn. The shoe features a leather-aligned insole and grey hangtags which aren’t normal for Air Jordan 12s. The sneakers also came in an all black Air Jordan 11 box. The grey ‘PSNY’ was eventually followed up with ‘Wheat,’ ‘Olive,’ and ‘Bordeaux’ iterations in June of 2017.
