The Nike SB Dunk Low What the Dunk is a low-top silhouette designed as a combination of all the most successful Dunk SB designs. This version is made with a mix of materials on the upper, including leather, hemp, and denim. The shoes are mismatched, with the right shoe sporting a red, white, and black tie-dye pattern on the lateral midsole and textile plaid on the toe box. Red leather rounds out the toe box, while brown leather runs from the front of the ankle down the heel. The Nike swoosh appears in brown. On the left shoe, elephant skin patterning and a silver swoosh are featured. Branded heel collars complete the design, with one saying Nike and the other saying 'Buck.' Thick rubber outsoles in different colors finish the look. What we like most about this shoe is the combination of materials, colors, and styles that make it stand out. Released on October 1, 2007, for a price of $120, this sneaker is part of the campaign for 'Nothing But the Truth', Nike SB's first feature-length skate film. Created from 31 different Nike SB Dunks, each part of the ‘What The Dunk’ incorporates elements from those 31 Dunks. Only one Dunk was unattainable to consumers, featuring the neon green lining from the rare ‘eBay Dunk’. The ‘What The…’ concept has been seen in other models, but the Nike SB Dunk is where it all began.
