The Nike LeBron 11 is one of the only LeBron shoes that King James himself didn’t wear during his entire NBA season. But that doesn’t mean the LeBron XI wasn’t well received by sneaker enthusiasts. One of the most popular colorways of the LeBron 11 is the "What The LeBron" version. The nickname "What The #@*%" began on the Nike SB Dunk in 2007 as a sociological sneaker experiment and has since become a staple in Nike offerings. The original idea took elements from a variety of previous sneaker designs and put them together in a hodgepodge design of multiple colorways. The What The LeBron has become one of the most anticipated colorways year after year and when the LeBron 11 WTL released, it sold out almost instantly. There were a few short-lived restocks but the Black Lava/Silver Ice-Galaxy Blue colorway, aka the What The LeBron, seemed to be the most popular of the LeBron 11 releases when it initially released. The What The Nike LeBron 11 features eight product design elements and 20 graphics and colors from previous Nike LeBron editions. The Nike LeBron 11 Premium 'What The LeBron’ commemorates the tenth anniversary of the LeBron James signature series. Released in September 2014, the vibrant colorway borrows design features from Lebron’s past ten signature models including the LeBron 7s tongue and the map of Akron, Ohio from the LeBron 5.
