The Nike Air Max 97 South Beach is a version of the running shoes originally released in 1997 designed by Christian Tresser. The design was inspired by high-speed bullet trains in Japan. This version features a soft textile upper in Kinetic Green, overlaid with white and one strip of Pink Blast synthetic leather, creating a wave shape across the entire shoe. The Nike Swoosh appears in Pink Blast underneath the wave on the midsole, and the outsole is a transparent Air unit. The beachy color scheme combined with the low profile and crisscrossed laces exudes South Beach vibes. This grade school edition was released on April 1st, 2018, for a retail price of $150. Underfoot, a crisp white midsole houses a full-length Max Air unit in more Kinetic Green.
