Nike Blazer Mid sacai White Grey

After debuting on the Fall / Winter 2019 runway, Nike and Sacai have teamed up once again to release the Sacai Nike Blazer Mid White Grey. Chitose Abe founded Sacai in 1999 after working on design teams at Comme Des Garcons and Junya Watanabe. The label is known for its elevated technical ability to splice separate items together to create something new. This Blazer Mid stays true to Sacai’s design principles while utilizing Nike’s materials and blueprint. The mudguard, tongue, laces, heel, and classic Swoosh are all doubled and juxtaposed in a way that exposes each layer. This collaboration utilizes a color palette of summit white, wolf grey, and black. The Sacai x Nike Blazer Mid reimagines the icon with a balance of its fundamental athleticism and the Japanese label's two-fold design intent. It features a full-grain leather upper with double Swooshes, two sets of laces, and dual tongues. Co-branding is printed on the heel, with stacked midsole guards and a textured rubber cupsole with gum tread finishing the styling.
